Biography:

Mr. Johnson is a senior professional possessing a proven track record of superior performance, leading strategy development and programmatic execution for behavioral health, education, law enforcement, operational management, and community engagement. He is highly experienced in assessing true needs and expectations, building lasting professional relationships, and growing and strengthening strategic partnerships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. He also possesses a proven ability to anticipate unique requirements or potential roadblocks in all situations, develops backup plans to minimize risk and deliver exceptional results, and streamlines communication and implementation channels to effectively meet client and organizational needs.

Mr. Johnson supports CNA’s Smart Policing Initiative, which provides research and analysis to support the strategic management of police activities. He also currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Nicasa Behavioral Health Services, a nationally recognized leader in the field of substance abuse prevention/treatment, mental health services, and promotion of healthy lifestyles. He supports Nicasa’s mission of providing primary and secondary prevention programs and early intervention programs that target youth, adults, families, and communities.

Mr. Johnson served as a Commissioned Officer for the U.S. Marine Corps for over 25 years and has been recognized with numerous awards, including a Bronze Star, a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and a Global War On Terrorism Service Medal. He also previously served as Chief of Police for the Round Lake Park (IL) Police Department, where he developed and preserved harmonious working relationships with local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as with the State’s Attorney and judicial offices.
